  1. Set a clear goal. You need a specific target—whether it’s losing 5kg, increasing FTP by 20W, or improving endurance for an upcoming sportive. Clarity drives consistency.
  2. Train with intention. Riding more won’t guarantee results. Follow a structured plan that includes interval training, endurance rides, and strength sessions.
  3. Dial in nutrition. Eat enough to fuel your rides, prioritize protein for recovery, and time carbs around your training. Cutting calories too aggressively will kill performance.
  4. Track progress. Measure FTP, VO2 max, weight, and body composition. The scale alone won’t tell the full story—performance gains matter more.
  5. Stay accountable. Whether it’s a training partner, a coach, or an online group, accountability keeps you showing up even when motivation dips.
